You need to look after your customers. This means making sure that their profiles contain all of the information necessary to send them their orders, respond to their requests, create groups to which you can apply discounts, know which carts are approved and which have been abandoned, and much more.
The "Customers" menu allows you to check the details of your users' accounts, create groups to which you can apply discounts, show current shopping carts, and manage after-sales service.
When installed for the first time with sample data, PrestaShop has a default user, named John Doe.
You can use this user to test some of your shop's features, and generally browse your shop and see it the way a regular user would.
To log in to your shop using this account, use these credentials:
- Email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Password: 123456789
Before you open your shop to the public, make sure to delete this default user, or at least change its credentials. If not, malicious visitors could use it to make fake purchases, or worse.
