On PrestaShop, you can quickly add a brand or a manufacturer from your administrator panel by following these steps.
How can I add a manufacturer to my e-commerce site?
To start with, you need to access the administrator panel, then position your cursor over "Catalog" in the left column and click on "Manufacturers".
On the new page, click the "Add new brand" button in the green strip at the top.
You then have a form where you can name the new manufacturer and add various pieces of information: a short summary, a description, a meta title, a meta description or meta keywords.
This form also lets you add a logo to attract the visitor's attention. "Enable" lets you enable or disable a manufacturer by selecting "Yes" or "No". If you disable it, it is not deleted, simply removed from the list of available manufacturers in your front office.
To finish, click on the "Save" (disk) icon in the bottom right of the form. You are then taken to the list of brands.
The "Description" field allows you to promote the products of a brand and give details of what they specialize in. In addition, the "meta title" and the "meta keywords" ensure better visibility in search engines.
You can enter several keywords in the field provided by separating each word with a comma. You can also use expressions, indicated by quotation marks.
Please note that for a product, the brand name and the manufacturer are the same in PrestaShop. We therefore recommend creating at least one brand for your shop, if you design your products yourself. That way you can help your customers to search and optimize visibility in search engines.
