Information about your company must be entered.
This section lets you provide more details about your company rather than about a particular shop. You should fill in all of the fields with information about your head office because it is undoubtedly the address customers will write to and even visit.
Just click on the Shop Parameters menu, then on Contact, then on Stores.
Most of this information is self-explanatory, but some fields must be filled in carefully:
Phone. Use your shop's contact number. If you prefer customers not to call, do not put anything in this field.
Shop email. Your company's official address. Use your company's general contact address, the one that sends emails to your customers.
Registration number. Give your company's legal registration number. This will depend on the legal system in your country (SIRET in France, Duns number in the USA, CNPJ in Brazil, etc.). This proves that you are an officially declared company, which helps you to gain the trust of your customers.
Shop address, Zip/postal code, City, State, Country. Use your company's official contact address. The "State" option only appears if the country selected has states in your database ("States" page of the "Localization" menu).
Fax. Your company's official fax number.
You can also create shops if you have a physical business rather than just an online business.
PrestaShop offers a comprehensive localization tool for physical stores for your customers, with detailed contact information.
Customers can search for a store using the "Stores" tool in the front office.
You can choose how these stores are displayed. Customers can access this list using the "Our stores" link (depending on the theme).
All of the stores are listed along with their main information and an indicator of whether the store is enabled – for example, you may want to only enable a store once you have gathered together all of the necessary information.
Add new store
As normal, click on "Add new" to open the creation form.
Fill in as many fields as you can, because this information will be available online on a page.
The "Latitude/Longitude" field is very important, as it tells PrestaShop the location of your store. There are various websites you can use to find the latitude and longitude of your store simply by entering your address.
Make sure to add a photo of the store as this will help customers to find it once they are on the right street.
Lastly, the opening hours are essential for a physical store and you should be as precise as possible.
Once all of the parameters have been entered, you will be able to place a link to your stores in your footer. Just click on the Design tab of your menu, then on Link Widget.
Click on Edit Link Block, which opens the configuration window. Then, in the Static Content block, just check the Stores box.
The link then appears in your footer.
